Skype
Is there anyone else who doesn’t know Skype? It is the world’s most famous VoIP software that allows you to talk for free over the Internet using voice calls, video chats or classic text conversations. It also adds the opportunity to contact traditional phone users around the world at a very convenient price. It is available for all possible and imaginable platforms: Windows PC, Mac, Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone and other devices. It is owned by Microsoft, which is using it to replace Windows Live Messenger (now in “retirement”).
Viber
Viber is a free Vo client for smartphones that allows you to send messages and talk for free over the Internet on all major mobile platforms: iOS (iPhone), Android, Windows Phone, BADA, Nokia terminals and BlackBerry OS. It is very easy to use and, by accessing the phone’s address book, it automatically recognizes all the contacts registered for the service. Yuilop
Yuilop is another smartphone app that allows you to send messages and talk for free over the Internet with all service subscribers. It differs from Skype in that it allows you to also call standard phone numbers for free, just top up your credit through points called Energy which you can get by showing ads and performing various operations within the app. It is very easy to use and does not require a lengthy registration procedure. It is available for free for both iPhone and Android.
Facetime
FaceTime is a free video calling service offered by Apple to all users with an iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or Mac equipped with OS X Lion or higher. Using it, you can talk for free with your friends in the iCloud address book (iPhone address book) using the front camera of Apple’s portable device or the Mac webcam, which provides good audio/video quality and is very easy to use. even for less experienced users, on the other hand has the disadvantage of not being multiplatform.
